  3. Use of Google Analytics
    1. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, i.e. text files stored on your computer to enable us to analyse the way you use the website. The information about the way you use this website created by the cookie is usually sent to and stored on a Google server in the USA. If the IP anonymisation has been activated on this website, Google will however first abbreviate your IP address in Member States of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Treaty on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. By order of the operator of this website, Google shall use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on the website activities and provide the website operator with other services associated with the website and use of the internet.
    2. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
    3. You can change your browser settings to prevent cookies from being stored; however, we draw your attention to the fact that, in these circumstances, you may find that you are unable to make full use of all the website functions. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of such data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
    4. This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. This makes it possible to process IP addresses in an abbreviated form so that they cannot be directly linked to a particular individual. If the data collected about you contains a direct personal reference, it will be immediately excluded and the personal data deleted forthwith.
    5. We use Google Analytics to analyse and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics thus gained enable us to improve our offerings and make them more interesting to you as a user. For exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the USA, Google is bound by the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for using Google Analytics is Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

    7. This website also uses Google Analytics for a cross-device analysis of visitor flows carried out via a user ID. You can deactivate the cross-device analysis of your data usage in your customer account under “My data”, “Personal data”.
  4. YouTube videos
    1. We have integrated YouTube videos into our internet offering which are stored on http://www.YouTube.com and can be played directly from our website. These are all incorporated into the “extended data protection mode”; in other words, none of the data about you as a user shall be transmitted to YouTube if you do not play the videos. The data referred to in paragraph 2 shall only be transmitted when you play the videos. We have no influence on this data transmission.
    2. By visiting the website, YouTube receives the information that you have called up the relevant sub-page of our website. The data referred to under section 5 of this privacy statement shall also be transmitted. This happens regardless of whether you are logged into a user account provided by YouTube or no such user account exists. If you are logged into Google, your information will be directly allocated to your account. If you do not wish such information to be associated with your YouTube profile, you must log out before activating the button. YouTube stores your data as user profiles and uses them for advertising purposes, for market research and/or designing its website in accordance with its requirements. Such evaluation is particularly carried out (even for users who are not logged in) to provide appropriate advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles; for this, you must contact YouTube in order to exercise this right.
    3. The privacy policy of YouTube contains more information on the purpose and extent to which it collects and processes data. There you can also find more information about your rights and setting options for protecting your privacy: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Google also processes your personal data in the USA and is bound by the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.
  5. Use of Google Adwords Conversion
    1. We use the Google Adwords tool in order to draw attention to our attractive offerings with the aid of advertising material (so-called Google Adwords) on external websites. In this way we can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are in relation to the advertising campaign data. This enables us to show you advertisements that might be of interest to you, make our website more interesting for you and achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs.
    2. This advertising material is transmitted by Google via so-called “ad servers”. For this purpose, we use ad server cookies which make it possible to measure certain success evaluation parameters, such as add insertions or user clicks. If you access our website via a Google ad, Google Adwords stores a cookie on your PC. These cookies usually expire after 30 days and are not supposed to enable your personal identification. The analysis readings usually stored on this cookie are the unique cookie ID, the number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), the last impression (relevant for post-view conversions) and the opt-out information (notification that the user no longer wishes to be addressed).
    3. These cookies enable Google to recognise your Internet browser. If a user visits certain pages of the website of an Adwords customer and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognise that the user has clicked on the ad and been redirected to this page. Each Adwords customer is assigned a different cookie. This prevents the cookies from being retraced via the websites of Adwords customers. We ourselves do not collect and process any personal data in the aforementioned advertising measures. We only receive the statistical evaluations from Google. On the basis of these evaluations we can recognise which of the deployed advertising measures are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data as a result of using the advertising material; most importantly, we are unable to identify users on the basis of this information.
    4. By deploying these marketing tools, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server. We have no influence on how and the extent to which Google uses the data collected in connection with this tool; this information is therefore based on our current level of knowledge. By integrating AdWords Conversion, Google receives information that you have called up the relevant section of our website or have clicked on one of our ads. If you have registered for a Google service, Google can link your visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, the possibility exists that the provider obtains and stores your IP address.
    5. You can prevent participation in this tracking process in various ways: a) by setting your browser software accordingly, especially by suppressing third-party cookies; this means that you will not receive any ads from third-party providers; b) by deactivating cookies for conversion tracking; for this you must set your browser in such a way that cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com”, https://www.google.de/settings/ads, are blocked; please note that this setting is deleted when you delete your cookies; c) by deactivating the providers’ interest-based ads that belong to the “About Ads” self-regulation campaign; this is done by accessing the link http://www.aboutads.info/choices; please note that this setting is deleted when you delete your cookies; d) by permanently deactivating Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome in your browsers under the link http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. Please note that you might prevent you from being able to use all the functions of this offering.
    6. The legal basis for processing your data is Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. More information on Google’s privacy policy can be found here: http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy and https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html. Alternatively, you can visit the website of the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) at http://www.networkadvertising.org Google is bound by the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.
  6. Use of Facebook Custom Audiences
    1. This website also uses the remarketing function “Custom Audiences” of Facebook Inc. (“Facebook”). This allows users of the website to see interest-based advertisements (“Facebook ads”) when visiting the social network Facebook or other websites that also use the process. The objective is to show you advertisements that might be of interest to you and thereby enhance the attractiveness of our website for you.
    2. (2) By using these marketing tools, your browser automatically establishes a direct link to the Facebook server. We have no control over the extent to which the data collected as a result of Facebook using this tool is used, nor over its further use; the information we give you is therefore based on our current level of knowledge: By integrating Facebook Custom Audiences, Facebook receives information that you have called up the relevant website on our internet offerings, or that you have clicked on one of our ads. If you are registered with one of Facebook’s services, Facebook can link your visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Facebook or are not logged in, it is still possible for the provider to obtain and store your IP address and other identifying information.
    3. The deactivation of the “Facebook Custom Audiences” function is possible [here] and for logged-in users under https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads#_.
    4. The legal basis for processing your data is Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. For more information about Facebook’s data processing, please visit https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy.
  7. Updating this privacy statement
We reserve the right to amend the information provided in this privacy statement to changes in legislation or jurisdiction without giving prior notification. The version of this privacy statement published on our website is the current valid version.
